Pile of Rocks

Here's that old Roman Wall that runs through the middle of downtown London. This is near the Towe where it really comes out of the ground.
There's a pretty cool walking tour that takes you to 20-odd points around the City of London and has plaques telling you the history. By the way, the City of London is actually really tiny. Only something like a mile and a quarter a side. The rest of the Metro area is called the Greater London Authority, which except for about a decade in the 80's/90's has had it's own, autonomous government for a thousand years, since William the Conqueror in 1066.

  • We saw an ancient Roman wall in Tours, France, but it wasn't as high out of the ground as this one. Amazing that it's still here and that people haven't run off with bits of it over the centuries.
    Citta :-)
